WISC: Women and Inclusion in Supramolecular Chemistry
January 2026 A new era for WISC
With the announcement of WISC’s name change to Women and Inclusion in Supramolecular Chemistry, it is also a natural time for a change in WISC’s leadership. Anna McConnell, a founding member of WISC, Vice Chair Organisation (2019-2022) and Chair since 2023, has stepped down at the end of her three-year term and moved to the Advisory Board to support the new incoming WISC Chair.

We are excited to announce that Emily Draper is the new WISC Chair from January 1, 2026! Emily has been an integral member of WISC since it launched in November 2019 and served as Vice Chair of the Parenting Cluster where she has led the publications on Planning a Family and Listening to Fathers in STEM. We believe Emily is the perfect person to lead WISC into its new era.

In addition, we would also like to announce some changes to the Board with the following members standing down:

-
Cally Haynes, a founding member, served as Vice Chair Communications (2019-2023) and Vice Chair Organisation (2023-2025)
-
Marion Kieffer served as Vice Chair Mentoring Network (2019-2023) and Vice Chair 1st Generation Cluster (2023-2025)
-
Charlie Hind served as Vice Chair Industry (2021-2025)
-
Sarah Pike served as Vice Chair Communications (2022-2024) and Vice Chair Mentoring Network (2024-2025)

WISC would like to thank the outgoing Board members for their contributions to the success of WISC. We are also excited to announce that Laura Bickerton, Kubra Kaygisiz and Fredrik Schaufelberger from the Early Career Advisory Board (ECAB) have joined the Board.

With these changes, there are now vacancies on both the Board and ECAB and we invite expressions of interest (https://www.womeninsuprachem.com/board-ecab-recruitment-call, deadline: January 31, 2026).
