How do I join WISC?
There is no formal procedure to join WISC and our events/resources are open to everyone
You can get involved in/support WISC a number of ways:
1. by taking part in our surveys and events
2. joining our mentoring network as a mentor or mentee
3. joining one of our Community Clusters
How do I get in contact with WISC?
Contact us through our contact form, by email or through social media
Where can I find WISC news?
Follow us on social media to get the latest WISC news and check out our website, especially the events page
I'm hosting a conference, can I invite WISC to give a talk?
Please get in touch with us by email if you would like WISC to give a talk/workshop/panel discussion at an event you are organising
Does WISC offer funding opportunities?
Occasionally, WISC offers funding opportunities such as travel grants
Mentoring
Who can become a mentee?
Due to current limitations on our resources, we are only able to support those individuals at post-graduate level or beyond within the area of supramolecular chemistry, exceptions will be made for final year undergraduate students wishing to pursue a further study/a career within the area of supramolecular chemistry
Who can become a mentor?
We are accepting mentors of any career level, gender, geographical location etc
How often should I meet my mentor/mentee?
Mentoring circles typically meet once a month for 1 h with their mentor and mentees within a mentoring circle can meet as often as they wish
Can I change my mentor/mentoring circle?
Should you wish to change your mentor/mentoring circle, please contact WISC or the Vice-Chair for Mentoring directly
Community Clusters
Who can join a Cluster?
Our Community Clusters are open to everyone
How often do they meet and do I need to go to every session?
The frequency of meetings depends on the Community Cluster and you don't have to attend every session
Can I start my own Cluster?
Please contact WISC if you would like to start a new Community Cluster
