Laura has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Ragazzon group since July 2025 investigating driven chemical reactions across lipid bilayer membranes.

 

Laura’s interest in this area began during her PhD at the University of Oxford, where, under the supervision of Professor Matthew Langton and Professor Paul Beer, she developed halogen bonding and stimuli-responsive receptors for transmembrane anion transport. In recognition of her research, she was named a 2022 CAS Future Leader. Prior to her position in Strasbourg, she was a PDRA in the Lusby group (University of Edinburgh), working as a on the catalytic applications of metal-organic cages.

In her free time, Laura enjoys perfecting her sourdough bagel recipe and playing boardgames.
