Associate Professor - University of Cagliari (Italy)

Claudia was born and raised in Cagliari (Italy). She got her Master Degree (2001) and PhD in Chemistry (2006) in Cagliari under the supervision of Prof. Vito Lippolis. After the PhD she became Assistant Professor at the University of Cagliari and moved to UK for 2 years (2006-2008) as academic visitor in the group of Prof. Philip Gale. Since 2016 she is Associate Professor at the University of Cagliari. In 2017 she was the Chairwoman of the Italian Supramolecular Chemistry Conference and since 2019 she is member of the Italian Supramolecular Chemistry Steering Committee. Her main research interest is the design, synthesis and characterisation of molecular chemosensors for anion and cation recognition. When she is not working Claudia loves playing with her daughter Matilde, travelling, sailing and going to the beach.
