Emmy Noether junior research group leader, University of Bonn, Germany
Larissa von Krbek is an Emmy Noether junior research group leader at the Kekulé-Institute for Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Bonn, Germany. She studied chemistry at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and obtained her Dr. rer. nat. (German equivalent of a PhD) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christoph A. Schalley at the same institution in 2016. Following a postdoctoral stay in the group of Prof. Jonathan Nitschke at the University of Cambridge, she moved to the University of Bonn to start her independent career in 2020.
The Krbek group is working in the areas of supramolecular chemistry, systems chemistry, and out-of-equilibrium self-assembly.
Outside work, Larissa enjoys good food, yoga, and running. The latter serve as an excellent excuse to have more of the former.
